The Story Behind The Brand
Oh, Eleanora began as a personal blog that launched in 2015, originally called Sequins & Suspenders. At the time, I was working in PR and fundraising in the nonprofit sector, was a contributing writer and editor to The Society Diaries magazine and a few other digital publications and was newly engaged to my now husband Dan. He and I actually launched the blog as a mutual project–as something we could own and build together, hence the his & hers name. After a while, we both realized that this was a project better fit to sharpen my storytelling skills and off-duty passions, so I took over as the singular voice behind the blog’s content. Dan still appears in my lifestyle content from time to time.
After marrying in March of 2016 and settling into a new life, I began to feel a brewing need for a significant shift professionally. I believed I was meant to do something meaningful with my love of pretty things, people and storytelling, but I couldn’t quite figure out my vehicle. In times of uncertainty, the Universe has a tendency to deliver. Sure enough, I rather suddenly was laid off in September of 2016. Change was clearly coming then or it was coming never, so I spent the remainder of that year re-aligning my focus, reconnecting with who I always was and who I wanted to become; and thus Oh, Eleanora was born.
There is so much beauty in life to appreciate. There are endless stories to tell, there is much positivity to spread, and I look forward to the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead.
